Vineyard Tying Machine Demonstration

Vineyard Tying Machine Demonstration

Early March I had the pleasure of joining Renteria Vineyard Management Co. at one of their Pope Valley vineyards. Driving into the Coastal Mountains on Highway 128 was beautiful. As I passed Lake Barryessa around 8am the fog was rising off the lake creating spectacular green rolling mountain views touched with white rolling mist. By the time I reached Pope Valley the skies were as blue as your Windows XP standard background image (which was ironically shot only miles from where I was).

Renteria was situated in a vineyard block that had guyot trained canes ready to be tied and secured to their corresponding trellis. We powered on the 3510A vineyard tying machine and went to work. It quickly secured the free stemming vines. I was impressed with how quickly my friends at Renteria took to the machine. The learning curve was short. Within a few minutes the vineyard manager was tying faster than I could. Fortunately I was able to grab some video of the manager tying down the vines.

We are incredibly excited to be introducing this machine to the vineyard industry. It’s portable, light (under 3lbs), compact, fast!, user-friendly, and easy to maintain. We look forward to working with you and your vineyard management team. Learn more about the machine by clicking here or call us at 530-672-1033, machines@cinchpkg.com
